Discovery School specialises in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). It will equip young people to fill the skills gaps in the sizeable and vibrant specialised engineering sector in the region which has a demand for highly qualified engineers and technicians. The curriculum is designed to offer opportunities for all learners to develop the skills, knowledge and personal qualities they will need to be successful. A unique aspect of the work Discovery School is its link with employers and their involvement in shaping curriculum and supporting delivery. It offers a unique learning experience that looks feels and operates like a high-tech engineering facility in Silicon Valley rather than a traditional secondary school.
