About King's Park Academy

King’s Park Academy is a three-form entry primary school for boys and girls between the ages of 4 to 11, situated in Boscombe, Bournemouth.

King’s Park Academy joined Ambitions Academy Trust in 2015 and is now part of 13 schools across Bournemouth and Poole.

King’s Park Academy provides exceptional care for all pupils and staff support and challenges pupils to reach their academic potential. We recognise that in order to do this the children’s social and emotional needs require special attention and we will do everything possible to remove any potential barriers to learning and future success.

We offer a safe, nurturing, respectful environment where children can build good working relationships with staff and other pupils.

Our Creative Curriculum aims to develop a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. As the children experience success their confidence in themselves as learners grows enabling them to make excellent academic progress.

Our Vision.

‘High Expectations lead to High Achievers’

We are an outstanding, values-based school at the heart of our culturally diverse community, striving for excellence, enabling our children to achieve their highest potential in all areas of the curriculum.

Our vision is to create a school community where children participate, succeed and are proud of their achievements. We strive to actively promote British values and prepare our children to become role models, thus preparing them for life in modern Britain.

“Everyone is a learner and every experience is a learning opportunity.”

· Ensure all pupils and young peoples’ achievement is their very best.

· Improving schools by outstanding leadership

· Achieving “operational economies” across Ambitions Academies Trust in terms of “value for money” and organisational resilience.

King’s Park Academy work on the principal that:

“………… the quality of an education system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers.”

Sir Michael Barber

Our Ethos.

King’s Park Academy (KPA) demands high expectations for all. In everything KPA does we always refer back to our mantra that encapsulates the belief that KPA must have outstanding teaching and achievement.

A culture of high expectation leads to the highest achievers as we all thrive to better ourselves. Children and staff are challenged and supported to get the best possible outcomes. Children, with the support of their teacher, set themselves goals and targets which they then challenge themselves to meet.
