The Ridge is a very special learning community. We provide a “fresh start” for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health problems (SEMH). The curriculum is designed to support children in becoming confident and independent learners in a rapidly changing world.
We are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to address the needs of pupils who require support to overcome the barriers to learning they experience both inside and outside the school, in order that they are able to achieve their full potential.
- Have knowledge of interventions to support children eg social skills development activities
- Be able to communicate effectively
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications
- Have previous experience of working with children in a primary setting
