Learning Mentor in the PSRP
Salary: NJC 25 (£24,267) pro rata
36 hours per week, term time only
We wish to appoint a flexible and committed individual to give personalised support to our students in our autism provision, particularly those preparing for GCSE exams. Every student’s achievement matters to us, and we are determined to provide the best possible underpinning for success, whether in study habits, motivation, key skills or pastoral support. This post involves supporting one-to-one and small group learning: experience of tutoring or supporting learning is useful, but the key requirements are initiative and an absolute belief in the potential of all. Part time or full time roles can be considered and expertise in English or Maths would be particularly welcome. The role could suit a recent graduate considering a teaching career, and opportunities could exist for suitably qualified candidates, to be sponsored for teacher training in the future.
Start date: January 2017
