Learning Mentor

We are looking for a Learning Mentor to join our team here at Purple Oaks Academy.

In this role, you will support Teachers to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment with both individual pupils and small groups.

To be successful, you will:

• Be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
• Be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
• Have the ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young people from different backgrounds
• Possess excellent communication skills, at all levels

About us

Our purpose-built building opened in January 2018 and currently provides 122 places for students aged 3–18 with a diagnosis of autism and/or severe learning difficulties. Our students have a complex range of needs and cover a full breadth of academic ability.
