LEARNING MENTOR

This post is 30 hours/week, term time only (temporary linked to funding)

Grade G4 (Point 14 - 17 pro rata) Actual Salary £11, 350 - £12,021

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Mentor to offer a complimentary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in the college. This role is funded by ‘Go Higher West Yorkshire’ to address the needs of children who require help to overcome barriers to learning, particularly those who are disadvantaged. The successful candidate will support and motivate students to achieve their full potential and increase their awareness and opportunities to experience the advantages of progressing into Higher Education. Alongside this it will further enable the college to raise standards of attainment and maintain successful progression figures.

Our recent Ofsted report described us as a “good college” where “Students are effectively challenged and engaged in developing their knowledge, skills and understanding.” The College works relentlessly to ensure ‘no child is left behind’ and this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the college’s drive for outstanding.
