Pay - Hourly supply rate dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
We are looking to recruit Learning Mentors on behalf of a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) secondary school based in Redhill. The Learning Mentor role is due to start in January 2022 until July 2022, full time possibly leading to a permanent role for the right candidate.
The desired Learning Mentor will be supporting students aged 11 - 18 with SEHM issues as well as a broader range of learning needs including Autism. You will be required to support students in and outside the classroom in groups and also on a 1:1 basis. Previous experience working in a special needs setting is not essential but could be beneficial.
About the school:
The SEMH school is a school for vulnerable girls that are Looked After (LAC) and/or have been excluded from mainstream schools. The school currently has 25 pupils on site.
To be considered for the Learning Mentor role, you will:
- Have experience of working as a support specialist in a school environment.
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
- Have experience working with pupils with SEND statements in either KS2, KS3, or KS4
- Be keen to take advantage of our CPD offering, and have a willingness to develop and learn more.
