Transforming Lives Through Specialist Dyslexia Education

At Moon Hall School Reigate, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential, regardless of the barriers they may have faced in education. As one of the UK's leading mainstream dyslexia specialist schools, we support pupils from Years 3 to 11 to overcome challenges, develop confidence, and achieve success both academically and personally.

Our pupils are bright, capable young people whose dyslexia has often prevented them from demonstrating their true abilities in a traditional educational setting. Through highly personalised teaching, specialist intervention, and a deep understanding of neurodiversity, we help students rediscover a love of learning and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Why Moon Hall?

Our specialist approach enables pupils to access a broad and ambitious curriculum while receiving the tailored support they need to succeed. We understand that every child learns differently, and our teaching reflects this. Staff work collaboratively to create engaging learning experiences that enable pupils to acquire, process, and communicate knowledge with confidence.

The impact of our work extends far beyond academic outcomes. We see young people develop resilience, self-belief, independence, and a renewed sense of possibility about their future.

Our Vision

Our vision is simple: to unlock potential and change lives.

We are committed to creating an environment where every pupil feels understood, valued, and empowered to succeed. By combining academic excellence with exceptional pastoral care, we support students to become confident learners, effective communicators, and successful young adults ready for life beyond school.

Moon Hall School is led by Michelle Catterson (BSc, PGCE, NPQH, SpLD Level 3), a nationally recognised advocate for dyslexia education, Board Trustee of the British Dyslexia Association and member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Dyslexia. Under her leadership, the school continues to champion excellence in specialist education while sharing best practice across the wider sector.
