32.5 hours Monday - Friday

08:30-16:00 (with 1 hour unpaid lunch)

Term Time only (44.2 weeks)

As a Learning Mentor at Sybourn Primary School you will be a part of the safeguarding team and have a key role for providing support and guidance to children and those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve their potential. 

Our Learning Mentors carry a caseload and offer timetabled support to individuals and groups of children, they are not class bound but have a significant role throughout the school and are an integral part of the safeguarding team. 

In this extremely rewarding role, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to support vulnerable and at-risk students and deliver group and individual sessions to learners. This in turn will support learners in developing a sense of self-responsibility and ownership of their learning experience.
