We are hiring dedicated SEMH Mentors to provide vital support to vulnerable young people across the UK. This flexible, part-time role is perfect for individuals passionate about making a difference through trauma-informed mentoring and holistic support. In this position, you will guide young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as additional challenges such as SEND, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

Key Responsibilities – Mentoring & Educational Support

  • Supporting young people with SEMH and additional educational needs referred to us by local authorities and schools
  • Providing emotional, behavioural, and educational mentoring tailored to each young person’s needs
  • Encouraging engagement with learning through a flexible, trauma-informed approach

Requirements for our Learning Mentors

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH, SEND, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
  • Understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • Professional teaching qualifications such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, B.Ed, PTLLS, DTLLS, CELTA, and CertEd preferred but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this if required)
  • Two professional references
  • You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online work

Employment Details

  • Contract-for-Service: Engage with us on a flexible, short-term contract basis.
  • PAYE Payment: This role is not self-employed; you will be paid via PAYE.
  • Insurance Coverage: Your work is fully covered by our insurance policy.
  • Variable Hours: While work opportunities are abundant, there is no guaranteed set schedule or expense coverage.
