Full time, 37 hours a week, 8.30am to 4.30pm (4pm Friday)

Your principal role will be to supervise classes of students during the absence of their regular teacher, to ensure learning is continuous within a calm and well- managed environment. We are seeking to appoint a calm and organised individual to join our team, which is committed to improving the life chances of all young people in their care. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with staff and students alike. You must be pro-active and flexible.

Robert Blake School is a thriving and rapidly growing non-selective school of just under 1100 students. The school is built on strong relationships and in the near future will be joining the United Learning Trust whose mantra is ‘Children First’. It is an exciting and rewarding place to work and our ethos of ‘Aspire | Achieve | Celebrate’ lies at the heart of all we do. Robert Blake School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school in Bridgwater, Somerset. There are currently 975 students aged 11-16 on the school roll.

Robert Blake School is named for a distinguished 17th-century military commander who was born in Bridgwater. The town is located to the west of the Quantocks and has a population of 41,000.

The school is housed in a wonderful building completed in 2012, and boasts fantastic facilities.  The school environment provides every opportunity for students to learn and achieve.
