Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for education? Uppingham School, a prestigious co-educational independent boarding school, is seeking a Learning Support Administrator to join our dedicated team. 

Established in 1584, Uppingham School boasts a rich history of providing quality education. With 840 pupils aged 13-18, our school encompasses 15 boarding houses, over 20 academic departments, and a vibrant array of extracurricular activities. Situated on a picturesque 120-acre estate, our school is home to over 75 buildings.

As a Learning Support Administrator, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and professional administrative support to the Head of Learning Support and the Learning Support department. You will also be proficient in IT.

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate pupil records and files, both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Manage files for prospective pupils.
  • Handle SENCO emails, respond to queries, and manage referrals.
  • Populate SEND register and liaise with Admissions to ensure it is up to date.
  • Coordinate access arrangements for entrance exams and collaborate with Admissions.
  • File paperwork for prospective pupils' entrance exams.
  • Collate and file SEND documentation from previous schools.
  • Create and maintain access arrangements evidence files for JCQ inspection.
  • Populate SEND information on AIMS (the School’s academic database).
  • Create and populate support plan templates as directed by the SENCO.
  • Arrange annual reviews with parents, take minutes, and update relevant trackers.
  • Coordinate schedules for Educational Psychologist visits.
  • Communicate with pupils regarding testing and intervention schedules.
  • Create individual feedback forms for pupils and collect teacher feedback.

In the lessons observed, pupils worked very well with each other, and also worked well independently. They enjoy their work and this stems in part from the good-natured atmosphere in lessons.
