The newly established SGS Berkeley Green University Technical College, part of SGS Academy Trust, is seeking to employ a reliable colleague to work as part of the UTCs student support team. You will be responsible for supporting students in their learning, enabling them to work as fully as possible to achieving their goals/qualifications, with a particular focus on the development of literacy skills.
SGS Berkeley Green UTC provides specialist high quality vocational and academic education for 14-19 year old students with a strong interest in Advanced Manufacturing and Digital Technologies including Cyber Security. We are committed to developing our students into the Engineers and Digital Technologists of tomorrow by working closely with our employer partners to develop an exciting and industry relevant curriculum.
Reporting to the Senior Business Administrator and SENCO, you will be excited about the prospect of working with young people in an exciting and dynamic educational environment. We are looking for a person with a passion to support young people and who has excellent literacy skills. You will be an effective communicator and team player. You should have a dynamic and energetic approach and be enthusiastic about participating in all aspects of college life.
You will need to demonstrate:
• The skills required to support young people in their literacy development;
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;
• A willingness to contribute to all aspects of UTC life.
