We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team supporting a pupil in KS1.


As an LSA at Maple Walk, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the children’s learning and development. The role will include 1:1 support for a specific student and  responsibility for planning, preparing and delivering an adapted curriculum working with that child and other pupils in small groups.. The role may also involve accompanying the pupil  to sports lessons and trips over the course of the year. 


Key to the success of the role will be the ability to collaborate with the class teacher and external professionals to incorporate their recommendations into curriculum planning. Planning time will be allocated within the school timetable.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Good standard of Education to A Level/Level 3, including GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting. 
  • Experience supporting students with varying learning requirements. 
  • Ability to form a close working relationship with a child with specific needs on a one to one basis, in a calm and supportive manner, with an interest in the child’s development.
  • Willingness and ability to take direction from the classroom teacher or head teacher, SENCO and external professionals.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
