Job overview

Starting in September 2025, we are looking to recruit a motivated, passionate and caring individual to support pupils across the school through targeted interventions, in-class support and 1:1 assistance. You will work closely with class teachers and the Learning Support team to help children reach their full potential and contribute to the effective running of the department

Experience as a learning support assistant is desirable but we are also interested to hear from individuals who are looking for a career change or recent graduates who may be considering teacher training in the future.

St Gregory’s Catholic Science College has been identified by OFSTED in March 2025 as an outstanding school in all areas of its practice; by the DfE as a National Lead Behaviour School and by the SSAT as a High Attaining School. Pupil behaviour is excellent and we have a happy and cohesive staff.

If you share our commitment to providing an outstanding learning environment then we look forward to hearing from you.

Effective safeguarding, data protection and promoting the welfare of pupils is our upmost priority. Shortlisted candidates will be subject to online searches in line with the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. References will be sought and the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. A respect for the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.

For an application pack and further details please contact Catherine Meah, PA to the Headteacher, on 020 8907 8828 or at cmeah2.304@lgflmail.org. We would be delighted to welcome interested candidates to book appointments to visit our school and meet with our staff and pupils.
