The Governors are pleased to advertise the post of Learning Support Assistant to work under the instruction/guidance of SENDCO to undertake work/care/support programmes for students. Work may be carried out in the classroom or may take place outside the main teaching area.
The successful candidate must have good standards of literacy, numeracy and IT skills and be prepared to support students’ additional needs e.g. administering medication or carrying out bespoke mobility programmes – training will be given.
St Luke’s is currently in the process of joining the Ted Wragg Multi-Academy Trust with a proposed conversion date of 1st November 2019. The Trust is a charitable foundation trust, which works with schools in Exeter and the local community to raise the aspirations of young people and enable them to become fulfilled, confident and motivated citizens, able to contribute actively to a democratic society. All students within the Ted Wragg Trust, regardless of social or cultural background, are motivated to succeed and make outstanding progress because their needs are met through creative, relevant and innovative provision.
