The McAuley Catholic High School is an exciting, vibrant learning community affiliated to the Doncaster Teaching School Alliance. 

We are looking to appoint a number of Learning Support Assistant's for a January 2018 start. Both temporary and permanent positions are available.

We welcome applications from aspiring individuals that have an aptitude for working with children and young people with specific Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Successful candidates will demonstrate a variety of skills to deal with a range of different learning abilities and at times some challenging behaviours. 

Working 30 hours per week, term time (plus 3 INSET days) the role of the Learning Support Assistant is to promote the learning and welfare of SEND students by identifying potential barriers to learning and supporting students with strategies to enable them to access high quality teaching and provision with success. This is including young people with support plans and Education Health Care Plans under the direction of the school SENCO and teaching staff within the school.
