(VARIOUS ROLES AVAILABLE) 


DCSF Support Staff Salary Scales X11-X30 £18,593-£21,852 FTE 

Salary to be prorated for part time, term time working. 


The current vacancies we have are: 

• One to One Learning Support Assistant 0.5 FTE (18.75 hours a week, Term Time plus three inset days).  This contract is to work with a child with an EHCP plan.  

• One to One Learning Support Assistant, 9 – 12 hours a week (TBC) Term Time plus three inset days.  This contract is to work with a child with an EHCP plan.  

• Various Learning Support Assistant roles, part time hours available, term time plus three inset days.  These roles could be made permanent in the future.

We are seeking to recruit hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to join our school team.  The Learning Support Assistants will ensure that the needs of our pupils are met in line with the Teachers and Departments. 


The ideal candidate will have a NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistant or equivalent and a passion for education and the impact that good teaching can have on the lives of children and young people 


Duties would include (but not limited to): 

• Encourage children to develop their ability to manage their social, emotional and mental health needs

• Establish a supportive relationship with children and parents in order to facilitate effective partnership and communication between home and school as appropriate

• Work closely with teachers to monitor the learning of children and identify appropriate learning and support strategies to best meet their needs

• Provide support and assistance for children’s pastoral needs

• Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the child/children, taking into account the type of teaching and learning support involved
