FIXED TERM CONTRACT Level 2 (Grade 3,scale point 17) £18,264 per annum 

07:45-15:45 Monday – Friday Term time + INSET 

Start Date Monday 3rd September 2018  

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. This role is a fixed term contract initially running until 21st December 2018. It will be reviewed thereafter, subject to funding.  As a Learning Support Assistant at a STEP Academy, you will be able to work with a great team of colleagues and support the teaching of a truly inspirational curriculum, which will enable our children to become confident and socially-minded 21st century citizens.  

The successful candidate will have the following experience / abilities 

• Providing 1:1 support to an early years child with speech, language and motor difficulties 

• Implementing a highly individualised learning programme based on speech and language and occupational   therapy recommendations 

• Excellent interpersonal skills with both children and adults 

• Share our vision to create an outstanding team of staff who will provide our children with the best education they deserve. We want every pupil at our school to succeed academically while also enabling them to grow as joyful individuals who will have the confidence to shape the world around them.  

• Have an understanding of the notions of Growth Mindset and Character.    Our Academy is inclusive, with the highest academic standards; we take children from all backgrounds and give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to flourish.   The happiness, well-being and success of our pupils is at the centre of everything we do.
