Learning Support Assistant - EYFS 1 to 1 support

We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic and reliable team member to provide 1 to 1 support for a five-year old child who has been identified as being on the autistic spectrum. The successful candidate will enable the child to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his own. It will be essential to work closely with teachers, learning development staff and the child’s parents in following specialist recommendations. 

Previous experience of working with autistic children is not necessary, but it is essential that there is a willingness to learn various strategies for which guidance and training will be provided. 

If you are able to show initiative and have a committed and flexible approach, with the ability to relate to and engage with children we would be thrilled to hear from you. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in the wider life of the school.

Location: West Sussex

Hours: 8.15am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, Term time only

Contract Type: Fixed term

Contract Term: One year initially, dependent on local authority funding. 

Salary: Dependent on experience, £12,000 to £18,000 per annum.
