The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they meet the essential elements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks including a health check, and Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Safe Recruitment Procedure

-         Aspirations and Jewell Academy, Bournemouth are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, young people and staff. In order to meet this responsibility, we follow a rigorous selection process to discourage and screen out unsuitable applicants. About Jewell Academy Bournemouth

Jewell Academy is a Good school. Ofsted visited the Academy in February 2025 and judged us to be “Good” in every area.

We are a two-form entry primary school that opened in September 2013 for children in Reception to Year 6. In addition we have our own Pre-School on site for children eligible for the 15 hours free education.

The facilities at Jewell Academy are fantastic, including a studio hall for PE and Dance, two multi-use games areas, a large field, Forest School, designated Early Years unit, Creator Space for digital work including 3D printers, DT room including cooking facilities and a school kitchen which cooks our hot meals freshly and daily on site.

As recognised by Ofsted, we are fiercely ambitious for our children and our curriculum and extracurricular offer provides children with a broad range of opportunities and real-life experiences that link with employability, ensuring that our vision of “There are no limits to what our children can achieve” is realised.

We work closely with all of our sister schools across Aspirations Academies Trust whose vision is: “To empower future generations to follow their dreams and to build a society of which we can all be proud.”

Jewell Academy, forms part of the South Coast Region of Aspirations Academies Trust, which also includes Magna, Ocean and Livingstone Academies.

There is a high offer for parents, carers and members of our community to engage in life at Jewell. This includes half termly learning links, workshops, PTA events and opportunities for volunteering as well as joining our staff in furthering their own aspirations by partaking in apprenticeships and other courses through the Aspirations Learning Institute.

We are delighted that you are considering a career with us at Jewell Academy and in turn Aspirations Academies Trust and look forward to welcoming you and sharing with you in person, our amazing school and opportunities.
