This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals at Burnt Ash Primary School. We are seeking to appoint committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants with knowledge and understanding of SEND to join our forward thinking and outstanding team. The successful candidates will have:

  • Strong team skills – be able to follow directions, use initiative and communicate clearly with a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to form positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
  • Outstanding practice and be dedicated to promoting high standards in learning.
  • Secure knowledge of SEND children’s development.
  • Empathy and resilience in supporting children with complex needs
  • Experience of delivering agreed Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy or other programmes of support.
  • Compassion, patience and dedication to an inclusive ethos, with a strong record of engaging children.
  • High expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour regardless of their starting points or needs.
  • Relevant experience working with children with severe and complex needs including complex behaviour
  • Enthusiasm for working in partnership with parents, Governors, and the wider community.
  • Full and relevant qualification equivalent to GCSE or NVQ Level 3 in English and Maths
