We are currently recruiting for full and part-time Learning Support Assistants to join us on fixed-term contracts until June 2025.

The Sandwell Family of Colleges is currently recruiting for a number of inspiring and caring individuals to join our College as Learning Support Assistants within our Foundation Learning department.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be part of a friendly team which is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment. At our College we strive to ensure that everyone is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential, you can help us do this by supporting learners with Educational Special Needs and working to remove barriers to their education.

This role is varied, and no two days are the same. We are searching for individuals who take pride in their work and are looking for a fulfilling and rewarding role through supporting learners with continuous support and personal care everyday. Our Learning Support Assistants have positively impact, not only learners education, but also their lives.

You will work within a large team, deliver outstanding programmes of study and gain valuable experience within an FE college.

To be successful you must have:

• at least GCSE in English and Maths to grade C or above, or a recognised equivalent qualification (FS L2), and current skill levels at L2 in Literacy, Language and Numeracy,

• a minimum of a Level 3 subject qualification,

• experience in supporting learners, staff or clients,

• demonstrate understanding of the wide range of needs students have in an FE setting that affects the achievement of goals.
