Learning Support Assistant

Tadley Court SchoolHampshire

Hours: Term Time Only - Full or Part Time Available

Aspris Children’s Services (an independent company which was formally Priory Education and Children’s Services) is one of the UK’s leading independent providers of specialist care and education for a reason. We recruit some of the most committed people in the sector.

We are offering applicants a joining bonus of £500* and when you are in post, you could also earn up to £1,000* when you refer a friend or family member to our organisation through our Cash for Colleagues scheme.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school with six associated Children's Homes specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 4 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

We offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.

To succeed we need people who share our passion for making a difference and ideally (though not essentially as training will be given) have previous experience of autism. We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and expect all staff to share this commitment.

Are you ready to make a real and lasting difference? Would you like to be part of a team committed to ensuring that our children and young people achieve their full potential.

The role of a Learning Support Assistant will involve providing student support within the classroom. The ability to work flexibly across all age groups and the confidence to deal with challenging behaviours is essential for this post.

We believe in developing our own talent. Many of our staff are promoted into more senior roles, while 6 staff are currently taking advantage of our fully funded teacher training route.

This position is a term time only role and we are able to offer this position on a full or part time basis to support our staff with a work/life balance.

What do you get in return?

  • A generous salary
  • Being part of a company that invests in you and your team for personal and professional development
  • Reward and discount schemes
  • Pension
  • Enhanced DBS fee paid
  • Access to a holiday package
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Well-being support.
