We wish to appoint for September 2019, Learning Support Assistants who will join our expanding team, in particular those interested in supporting our new intake of high functioning students who are working within a mainstream equivalent curriculum and may present with behaviours that challenge. If you have a keen interest in working with this cohort of pupils, we want to hear from you, particularly if you aspire to specialise in supporting wellbeing and behaviour and would welcome the chance to join our pastoral team.

The Grove school is a brand new special school for young people with autism opened in September 2018 in Haringey, we move to our brand new refurbished building in N17 from September 2019.

We are looking for people who have an outstanding track record and ready for an exciting new challenge. 

This is a rare opportunity to be involved in the founding of our new school; as a member of our team, you will be part of the development and planning process and work alongside class teachers to deliver a personalised curriculum to our students. 

The successful candidate will make an important contribution to the school ethos. Their role will include supporting students on a daily basis, supporting small learning groups, working with staff to ensure an inclusive approach and working collaboratively to support the learning needs of students on the autistic spectrum.

The successful candidate will have:

● Some experience of working with students with additional needs including autism

● A flexible and proactive approach to supporting students

● Ability to communicate well with students, teachers and adults

● Completion, or the readiness to complete, the LSA induction programme

● Some understanding of the issues relating to child development and inclusion

● A commitment to safeguarding children.
