We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dedicated team and play a key role in helping our students feel safe, supported, confident and ready to learn.
This is more than a classroom support role. You’ll be a trusted and encouraging presence in our students’ daily lives helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally, while celebrating their progress along the way.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support students in lessons, helping them engage, participate and achieve
Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model
Support individual learning programmes and specialist approaches
Work alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals to meet students’ needs
Observe, record and share information about student progress and development
Support assessments, target setting, reviews and relevant documentation
Support students during activities, mealtimes, recreation and educational visits
Contribute to a positive school culture where every achievement matters

GCSE English and Maths or equivalent is required

About Us
Kestrel House School is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. We help educate and support students who have complex needs and specialise in the communication and learning challenges associated with Autism.
We want each student at Kestrel House School to achieve their own ambitions and to live fulfilling and productive lives. We want you to encourage everyone to achieve their potential and dream big, despite of any challenges you or they may face. This can be achieved by assisting and supporting the class teachers with the agreed learning plans, whilst also being responsible for safeguarding the students. This will include making sure they are healthy, safe and as comfortable as possible and assisting with the physical, emotional, educational and personal care needs for each individual.
The site is in London, Haringey Borough within Crouch End area, quite close to central London. The location has the advantage of easy access to public transport, having the over ground station located 5 to 10 min walk away from the school and a 2 bus stops right outside of the school front gates.
At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity.

The calm, friendly & happy atmosphere of Kestrel House School is maintained through a holistic and therapeutic approach to each one of it's pupils, via a knowledgeable team of specialists & experts in autism and associated conditions.
