Oaklands is an excellent special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow that provides specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. We believe that all of our students are capable of making outstanding progress and we want to appoint individuals who share our belief.
From September 2018 we have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks) and a specialist independent SEN College provision (Great Oaks). We can cater for students aged from 4 to 25 across the Oaklands group.
Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development. In September 2018 we relocated to a purpose built new school building (close to Osterley Tube Station and other public transport links) that offers state of the art facilities for our students. In time, the schools will be based on two sites with New Oaks Primary moving back to Woodlands Road once refurbishment is completed.
Due to our rapid and continued expansion we are looking to appoint learning support assistants to work with our students providing for the personal care and medical needs, helping to deliver education programmes. If you have an NVQ2 in a relevant area and experience of working with children and young people with special needs, gained in a school or similar environment, we would like to hear from you. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), and a Secondary school (High Oaks). We are based across two different sites with both our school buildings offering state of the art facilities for our students and we serve a socially and ethnically diverse population, with children coming from within Hounslow and the surrounding Boroughs.

Oaklands secondary school moved to its current location in 2018 and boasts excellent facilities to provide a secondary and preparing for adulthood curriculum. Facilities include a sports centre, which is hired during evenings and weekends and outside term time under a planning condition.

Upon completing their apprenticeship, our staff will gain a level 3 qualification.
