Learning Support Assistant - LSA2 Intervenor

Moorcroft School is looking to appoint a LSA2 to be an intervenor for a student in the school who has multi-sensory difficulties. We want to best support him to access learning; ensure he has the right strategies and interventions in place to support his barriers to learning.

Salary: Scale 4; £22,580 - £23,711 per annum + Special Schools Allowance; £1,234 (Dependent upon qualification and experience);

Work pattern: 36 hours per week 39 weeks of the year plus 5 training days (SENSE);

Please note: This is an event led contract linked to a pupil who attends our school.

We have a vacancy for an intervenor to start ASAP. You will be supported, and line managed by the Deputy Headteacher with support from internal and external professionals.

The Sense Intervenor will work with a named child to develop his communication, support his personal and social development, help him to access education, social and leisure opportunities and encourage him to be as independent as possible whilst at the same time being able to regulate his emotions.
