Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work closely with students who have a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

You will support student learning experiences according to need, which will  include working with classroom teachers to help students with reading, writing, verbal communication literacy/numeracy. 

Qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacy equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2 are essential. 

Contract/hours: Fixed term contract initially to July 2021; 28 hours per week, term time only

About Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre

Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2,100 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside.
