Tamworth Campus

The Learning Support team at South Staffordshire College require Learning Support Assistants at our Tamworth campus to support learners with an SEN or EHC to reach their full potential.

This exciting and challenging role is an opportunity to motivate and encourage learners to embrace their differences and to help them develop their skills and confidence to work more independently.

The successful candidate will have level 2 qualifications in Maths and English and experience of supporting young adults, preferably in an educational setting.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be committed, enthusiastic and have the ability to inspire learners to recognise and achieve their aspirations.

South Staffordshire College is a further education college founded in 2009 as the result of a merger between four local colleges. It now has four campuses located in Tamworth, Lichfield, Cannock Chase and Rodbaston. Alongside its further education offering, South Staffordshire College provides some higher education courses in conjunction with local universities. 

South Staffordshire College's courses are supported by a wide array of facilities, including beauty salons, an art gallery, restaurants and high-quality workshops. It caters for students aged 14 and older.

South Staffordshire College offers education for young people aged 14-16 and still in secondary school, as well as a variety of adult education courses and apprenticeships. Distance learning is also available.
