Job overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Learning Support Assistant to join our team in September 2024. Some additional hours during the Summer Term (May-July 2024) may be available for training. 


The role of a Learning Support Assistant will be utilised differently across the School, depending on the needs of the pupils. The successful candidate may be required to support pupils will additional needs, such as visual impairment.


As a Learning Support Assistant you will be expected to guide individuals or small groups of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), work both within and outside of the classroom, under the direction of the SENCo and teachers as well as independently.


The objectives of a Learning Support Assistant will differ according to the individual requirements of each pupil.


The overall function is to support SEN pupils with varied needs through the academic, personal and behavioural elements of school life.


Hours

08:30 – 16:00 Monday - Friday during term time and morning briefings (where applicable), plus all staff training and development days.


Start Date

2nd September 2024.

Some additional hours during the Summer Term (May-July 2024) may be available for training.
