We currently have an opportunity for a dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (full time) 8.30am-3.30pm Monday and Wednesday, 8.45am-3.45am Tues, Thurs & Friday, term time only. Applicants looking for part-time employment will also be considered.

Salary: £15,251 - £16,085 actual starting salary plus pension contribution, training and progression opportunities (FTE £20610 - £21736)

Start Date: September 2023 / as soon as possible

This is a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year 2023-24.

This role would suit a driven individual who is looking to gain experience of supporting learners with autism before securing a permanent position or to gain experience for further study in a Psychology field. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our therapy team and experienced Teachers.

Hardwick House School is a small specialist independent school for learners, aged 7-19, with high functioning autism. The school provides a safe learning environment in which our learners can thrive and succeed academically, socially and emotionally. You will be working alongside a range of colleagues at Hardwick House including our teachers, learning support assistants, support staff and therapists, all of which will support you to thrive in this role.

Who we’re looking for:

• Previous experience of working with children; experience with autism is desirable

• A proactive and can-do attitude

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above is essential, a university degree is desirable

• A commitment to the well-being of everyone at the school
