About St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

St. Joseph’s RC Primary School, Cadogan, Street. Chelsea is a popular, Catholic, Voluntary Aided school, located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. There are approximately 200 children, aged 3-11, who come from lively and culturally diverse backgrounds.

All baptised Catholic children, irrespective of ability, are welcome at St. Joseph’s, where there is a strong emphasis on “Personal Best”. Above average standards are achieved by the time children reach Year 6 and visitors comment on the good relationships, the high level of racial harmony and most of all, the strong Catholic ethos. Art and music are among the many strengths of the school. Parts of the buildings are extremely attractive, being designed by Pugin in 1843. However, a large part of the school, which had become both unsafe and unsightly, is currently being rebuilt. This exciting project will provide the accommodation the children deserve.

Our School Mission Statement

St Joseph’s RC Primary School, in its pursuit of excellence, aims to be an efficient, effective and joyful place of learning in which the children develop spiritually, personally and academically.

We aim for children to become moral, independent, self-motivated, responsible and valued members of the community.

‘Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you.’
Luke 11:9
