Launch Your Career in Education at our Outstanding School

Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? Do you want to make a real difference every

day while developing the skills and experience needed if your goal is a future career in teaching?

At Wright Robinson College, we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and caring Learning

Support Assistant to join our highly successful SEND team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to

support students with additional needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve

their full potential within an ambitious and inclusive school environment.

Working alongside experienced teachers, SEND professionals, and pastoral staff, you will provide

classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and help create positive learning experiences for

students with a range of SEND needs.

Why Join Wright Robinson College?

This is more than a Learning Support Assistant role. It is an opportunity to become part of an

outstanding, forward-thinking school that is committed to developing its people as well as its students.

For graduates and aspiring teachers, this role provides invaluable classroom experience and a genuine

pathway into the teaching profession. You will work closely with experienced practitioners, develop

your understanding of teaching and learning, and gain exposure to a wide range of educational

strategies and approaches.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting young people

  • Believes that every child can achieve success

  • Is resilient, compassionate, and committed to inclusion

  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Works well as part of a team while showing initiative

  • Is eager to learn, develop professionally, and contribute to a thriving school community.

In Ofsted inspections in 2016 and 2021, the College was judged ‘Outstanding’ in every area of the

Inspection Framework. Under the current framework, where an overall ‘Outstanding’ grade is no longer

awarded, we are immensely proud that our March 2026 inspection identified areas of exceptional

practice, further strengthening our reputation for excellence. We remain fully committed to continually

raising academic standards and attainment through a broad, ambitious and inclusive curriculum.

Wright Robinson College is committed to staff development and if you join our team, you will be based

in a friendly and supportive school with a state-of-the-art building, providing access to the latest

resources to facilitate learning. As well as offering you a competitive salary and access to our BUPA

Employee Assistance Programme, which provides all of our staff with access to free counselling and a

24/7 health line, you will be provided with free access to on-site gym facilities, swimming pool and free

on-site parking. Located on the east side of Manchester, we are easily accessible through local and

regional transport links.

Have you got the desire, experience and ambition to join our Team? If so, we would be delighted to

hear from you. Informal enquiries can be directed to Ms. Bower on 0161 370 5121.
