An enthusiastic and inspirational Learning Support Assistant, qualified and experienced in teaching pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties, is required to join an excellent team and contribute fully to the life of the school.

Willington is an independent preparatory school, founded in 1885, set in the heart of Wimbledon and, as a charitable trust, operates with a Board of Governors. There are over 222 Students on roll and 9 year groups in the school from Nursery to Year 8. Willington is a friendly, nurturing school with high expectation for all our pupils. We aim to provide an energetic, creative curriculum to challenge and motivate our pupils through a range of exciting learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom. The staff strive to provide a calm and stimulating environment where good behaviour and mutual respect is exhibited by all and where everyone is valued.

Willington Prep is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant, to improve academic standards through provision of specialist support for pupils with identified SpLDs. This is a part time post. The successful candidate will be qualified and have an understanding of tracking and utilising standardised scores for identifying needs and measuring progress. An ability to advising teachers on whether pupils need intervention and what can be provided, is essential. The capability to whole-class teach and offer a further subject specialism would be desirable.
