Salary: £24,675.00 per annum (not pro rata)

Working closely with teachers, senior leaders, and a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
Helping to maximise learning opportunities for every student
Assisting with planning, preparation, and classroom resources
Contributing to assessments, target setting, and record keeping
Supporting statutory reviews and contributing to important reports
Working collaboratively with therapists and professionals to implement specialist approaches
Observing and recording student progress to support development
Acting as a positive role model at all times
Supervising students during mealtimes and recreational activities
Assisting with risk assessments and educational visits
Taking part in ongoing training and professional development
Who We’re Looking For
Someone who is:
Qualified with GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
Compassionate, patient, and resilient
A strong team player with excellent communication skills

About Us
Kestrel House School is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. We help educate and support pupils who have complex needs and specialise in the communication and learning challenges associated with Autism.
We want each pupil at Kestrel House School to achieve their own ambitions and to live fulfilling and productive lives. We want you to encourage everyone to achieve their potential and dream big, despite of any challenges you or they may face. This can be achieved by assisting and supporting the class teachers with the agreed learning plans, whilst also being responsible for safeguarding the pupils. This will include making sure they are healthy, safe and as comfortable as possible and assisting with the physical, emotional, educational and personal care needs for each individual.
The site is in London, Haringey Borough within Crouch End area, quite close to central London. The location has the advantage of easy access to public transport, having the over ground station located 5 to 10 min walk away from the school and a 2 bus stops right outside of the school front gates.
For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties. The calm, friendly & happy atmosphere of Kestrel House School is maintained through a holistic and therapeutic approach to each one of it's pupils, via a knowledgeable team of specialists & experts in autism and associated conditions.
Each child’s personal development is enhanced through a meaningful, appropriate and individual approach to their specific needs, and with the support of an onsite team of multidisciplinary therapists who support the pupils daily.
