Grade D - 1 Points 3—4 (Actual Salary £16,756 —£17,019) required for September 2025
30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (TTO plus 5 training days)
Monday—Friday 08:20—15:05 including a 30 minute lunchbreak.
We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant with a good general education to work in our Learning Support Department. Relevant previous experience is not essential, but would be valued.
The work will be varied and largely involve supporting children aged 11-16 who have special educational needs (both learning and behavioural difficulties). The person appointed will provide in-class support with small groups and one-to-one teaching.
Our well-established Learning Support Team will provide training and support for the successful candidate.
You will need to be literate, numerate, along with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and possess first class communication skills.
We have over 1400 students on roll with approximately 240 students in the Sixth Form. The school is over subscribed!

Wollaston School is a large, rural community school located in a village setting about 15 minutes drive from Northampton. The student intake draws on nearby villages and the towns of Earls Barton, Wellingborough, and Irchester. We have over 1400 students on roll with approximately 240 students in the Sixth Form. The school is over-subscribed. Wollaston School was rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2023.
