We are a well-equipped, purpose built Catholic Secondary School situated in a pleasant suburban area to the North-East of Nottingham.  We strive to ensure that each young person is safe, happy and successful and we pride ourselves on providing an excellent educational experience.  Does this sound like somewhere you would like to work?  Visits prior to application are warmly welcomed so you can come and see for yourself what makes Christ the King such a special place to work.

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant looking to work with students with special education needs?  If you are, we are looking for two new colleagues to join our passionate, dedicated and successful Inclusion team.  Our current team provides outstanding support to students with special educational needs/disabilities helping them to achieve the highest standard of education possible.

These are temporary roles (until 31 August 2020) working 32.5 hours per week, term time only.  To be successful, you will have a good understanding of issues that SEND students may encounter and an understanding of the importance of the Inclusion function within school. You will hold high expectations of all students and will be committed to providing support to assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and encourage raised educational achievement.

We value equality and diversity and welcome applications from all sectors of the community and from all faiths and none.

Our school is part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust which brings together the 21 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.  Our priority is to ensure the very best Catholic Education for all young people in our community, whatever their circumstances. We will achieve this together, through a strategic approach to sharing best practice, effective challenge and support from a central standards and performance team and opportunities for high quality Continuing Professional Development offered by the CMAT’s teaching school, The Nottingham Catholic Teaching School Alliance.

Our Lady of Lourdes is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  If successful, you will undertake pre-employment checks which will include a Disclosure and Baring Service check.

Closing date for these roles is 9.00 am on Monday 18 November 2019.

Interviews will be held week commencing 25 November 2019.

One of the main advantages of being a smaller that average secondary school is that we are small enough to create and maintain a caring, sharing Catholic ethos within the school whilst being large enough to give a wide range of curriculum and other opportunities to all of our students.
