About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll support our teachers in delivering creative, tailored teaching to meet the diverse educational needs of our pupils. Your efforts will help maximise each pupil’s achievement and development in a supportive, inclusive environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting or continuing their career in education, particularly motivated to inspire learning in pupils with varied and complex needs. You’ll work in a school where safeguarding is paramount, pupils are respected and heard, and where quality is always our priority.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with individual pupils and small groups on exciting educational activities.

  • Support teachers in developing and delivering tailored learning programmes.

  • Encourage positive relationships, self-esteem, and social development.

  • Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of learning materials.

  • Join our pupils on educational visits and occasional transport to enhance their learning experience.

  • Contribute to pupil progress reports and share insights at staff meetings.

What we’re looking for:

  • English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.

  • A dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic individual.

  • Someone who loves working with children and helping them thrive.

  • A team player ready to support teachers and embrace new challenges.

About the school

Groveside School is a Brand-New Special Educational Needs School for Pupils 7 - 16 years old with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Our school opened in September 2024 and will cater for 60 pupils.
