About the role:

You will support students who have been identified as needing help with their reading and assist in the delivery of our reading interventions.

 You will:

·        Plan and implement strategies for students on the reading programmes.

·        Work with the Reading Progress Co-ordinator to implement reading plans and monitor their use and effectiveness.

·        Deliver our Fresh Start phonics reading strategy on a one-to-one or small group basis to improve their reading age.

·        Deliver the Lexia programme.

Ark Putney Academy opened in September 2012 as part of the Ark network in the London Borough of Wandsworth. We’re a mixed school with 950 students, ranging from year 7 through to sixth form. Our student body is diverse and we celebrate all backgrounds and cultures. We adopt a holistic view to educating young people. Ark Putney Academy is a mixed secondary school with sixth form in Putney, south-west London. The school has recently undergone a refurbishment and now boasts exceptional indoor and outdoor sports facilities, plus an arts centre, spacious classrooms and specialist teaching rooms.
