Learning Support Assistant Required

Great Oaks College is a new specialist independent college co-located within Oaklands School's new state-of-the-art, purpose-built premises in Gresham Road, Hounslow. The college provides further educational opportunities to students aged 19-24 that have moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties or autism. We are close to Osterley Tube Station and just fifteen minutes walk from Hounslow bus station.

We run three Pathways within Great Oaks College. The Life Skills Pathway is for young people who need to remain in education to develop skills for supported living. The Vocational Pathway supports our students in developing the skills they require to gain employment. The Sensory Pathway supports students that have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. This course helps students in developing their communication, ICT and independence skills. 

As well as being calm and patient, you will need good team working skills and be passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. Applicants must be physically fit and willing to undertake all aspects of personal care, including toileting and feeding. Pay Scale:                   Hounslow Scale 5 (P11 £ 27,357 to P15 £ 29,214) pro rata

Actual Salary:            £19,697 to £21,034 per annum
