As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be a key member of our team, enhancing the education of our young people.  This is a great opportunity in a growing school with excellent opportunities to build experience working amongst young people with ASD and Asperger’s syndrome.

The Priory Lodge School is an independent co-educational, purpose built day school in South West London for young people aged 9 to 19 with mild to moderate autism, Asperger’s syndrome and associated learning difficulties.

It is our intention that every pupil will achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development, take up new challenging goals and work hard to achieve them.

It is a requirement of the role that successful applicants are required to have pass grades at GCSE / Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths, either prior to employment or attained within the first year.  Ideally, we would like candidates who have held a clean driving license for at least 3 years and can drive a manual car.

About Roehampton Gate School

Roehampton Gate School is a purpose-built day school for young people with autistic spectrum disorders, in particular Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. It is situated next to the Hospital Roehampton. The school opened in April 2010.

The spacious and modern building has been specifically designed to accommodate up to 40 young people with autistic spectrum disorders and Asperger's Syndrome.

The classrooms are set up for specialist subjects including information technology, art, food technology, science and music, together with exclusive sensory and therapy rooms/suites or studios.

Roehampton Gate School is also uniquely placed to benefit from the extensive therapy and specialist mental health services provided at the Hospital Roehampton. Staff and students will also work closely with the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and experienced educational psychologists
