Job overview
Brinsworth Academy is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join its Inclusion Department. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
In this role, you will work with students across all year groups who may be facing a range of challenges in their education. You will act as a lead worker for a small group of students, taking responsibility for coordinating support, tracking progress and working closely with parents and carers to review the impact of interventions and learning support provision.
Working closely with teachers in mainstream classrooms, you will support learning in real time and help ensure that every student is able to access the curriculum and make strong progress in their learning.
This role requires someone who is adaptable and able to respond positively to the fast-paced and varied nature of school life, as well as someone who can manage their time effectively. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a positive, enthusiastic approach to working with young people. Experience of working with children or young people is essential, along with the ability to remain resilient and supportive when working with students with barriers to learning or challenging behaviour.
