We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join us in our pursuit of excellence! The Learning Support Assistants’ provide essential and complementary services to teachers, tutors and heads of line to address the needs of a student who requires help to overcome barriers to learning and other difficulties in order to achieve their full potential. You will be supporting students with SEND needs including those with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP). This will involve working under an agreed system of supervision.

The Role
Learning support assistants devise and provide strategies to support the pupil in their academic progress across the curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a SEN relevant qualification at level 3 or equivalent experience and/or will have experience supporting pupils on an individual basis.
Exceptional communication skills and being great at building rapport with others is critical to this role. You will be able to write reports and keep accurate records. Experience working in a school environment is vital.

Mount St Mary’s College is an HMC independent day and boarding school for boys and girls, including A-Level studies. Our Preparatory School, Barlborough Hall is a day school and includes a Nursery provision.
