Learning Support Assistant

We are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support and Enrichment department. This role involves working closely with Key Stage 4 secondary students, particularly those on the autism spectrum, to support their learning and personal development.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting children or young people in an educational setting
- Experience working specifically with students diagnosed with autism
- Strong understanding of strategies to support learning and communication for autistic learners
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and families
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy qualifications; relevant teaching assistant qualifications are desirable
