We are seeking to appoint a creative, energetic and enthusiastic Learning Assistant to join our hard working and dedicated staff team.

Your opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Learning Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in accessing an engaging curriculum. They will be a talented and professional individual who shares our vision of high aspirations, achievement and a passion for learning. They will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day to day school life and be a strong team player.

What we are looking for

  • The successful candidate should:
  • Be dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated
  • Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
  • Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
  • Have experience of working with children with SEN
  • Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
  • Be a confident and clear communicator with parents
  • Have GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above

Hours: 30.85 hours per week, 38.6 weeks of the year (term time plus 3 days) 8.30am - 3.10pm

The School welcomes children aged 4 to 11 years of age to join the school in the September following their 4th birthday. Each year the school admits 60 children to two reception classes of up to 30 pupils per class.
