We are seeking to appoint LSAs to join a high achieving, hardworking department in an outstanding school. The department is expanding due to a rising number of students joining our school with EHCPs. Our LSAs work with students aged 11-19, across the curriculum and in all areas of need as identified within the SEND Code of Practice.

We are looking for someone who can: 

  • Work with individuals or small groups of puplis in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff;

  • Work with students away from the mainstream classroom at certain times;

  • Contribute to planning for individuals and groups;

  • Monitor work, feedback to the teacher and contribute to record-keeping;

  • Support students to understand instructions and support independent learning and inclusion;

  • Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping students on task;

  • Support students' social and emotional development;

  • Support the organisation of the learning environment including producing, maintaining and storing reources and contribute to maintaining a safe environment;

  •  To be able to scribe in exams and be fluent in literacy;

  • Contribute to annual review feedback and update LSPs;

  • Lead and help with planning on interventions supported by SALT/EP/Pheonix;

  • Have experience in dealing with medical needs and undergo First Aid Training.

Term Time Only, Fixed Term Contract for one year, with the possibility of extension
