Founded in 1704, Watford Grammar School for Girls is one of the country’s most successful schools with exceptional academic standards. Our core aim is to be a centre of excellence and achievement and to provide a wide spectrum of educational opportunities, with students learning in a caring, stimulating, challenging and supportive environment.
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant, who will be a member of the Learning Support Department. The purpose of the role of any member of the Learning Enrichment team is to assist in the support and inclusion of students with Special Educational Needs within WGGS. This role specifically has a focus on ensuring that our Visually Impaired student has full access to the curriculum and support in lessons and homework although you will also spend some time working with other students.
Please note that there will be two LSAs in this role so that whilst one LSA is supporting the student in the lesson, the other is preparing material for future lessons.
Important: This role is fixed term in that it is linked to the on-going support of a particular student and will cease if and when the student leaves the school, or funding for support is terminated.
Please contact Sue Dabiran, PA to Headmistress/HR Manager, via email pa2head@watfordgirls.herts.sch.uk or call 01923 223403 ext 202 or alternatively visit the school website www.watfordgrammarschoolforgirls.org.uk

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all employees to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks including a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records with Barred List check through the DBS.
