ABC Teachers is currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work within a secondary class of an outstanding special educational needs school in Walsall.
This is a generic SEND school, where they cater for a variety of moderate learning difficulties and ASC, so they are looking for someone with sound knowledge of a range of needs.
About the role:
• You will support students on a 1:1 and small nurture group basis.
• Working with pupils with various educational needs, including autism, moderate learning difficulties, and associated needs.
• Assisting the class teacher in the running of the classroom and preparation of materials.
• Although this role will be full-time, the school is also open to candidates who are looking for flexible work too, with both immediate and January starts

• The school caters for primary and secondary-aged students but are looking for somebody to work in the secondary stage.

About you:
To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will:
• Have previous experience working with children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs.
• Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
• The desire to make a difference in young peoples lives
• Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
