Appleford School is a specialist day and boarding school for pupils aged 7-18 with dyslexia and associated learning difficulties, set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside in the village of Shrewton, just off the A303.  Our ethos is to build children’s confidence through continuous support and celebration of success.  Rated ‘Excellent’ by ISI in all categories, the school has been providing the highest quality teaching for pupils with dyslexia for over 30 years. Appleford has small classes of up to 10 pupils and an ethos based on developing confidence, celebrating success and continuous support.  More importantly, we instil a belief in our children that dyslexia is no barrier to learning and we expect them to do well.

Due to increasing numbers, we are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work in our Prep and Senior schools. Candidates must have GCSE or equivalent A-C Grade in English and Maths, be prepared to undertake training and have a desire to work with children / young people. We welcome candidates with no previous classroom experience as well as those who have worked in education before.

Successful candidates will have excellent communications skills, a confident manner and flexible approach to work.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.50-4.50pm and Friday 8.50-3.30pm, 41 weeks a year, term time only.

Salary: Base £14,000.
